DARRAN Furniture is Hiring a Material Handler Near High Point, NC
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, performing any combination of the following duties: Reads work orders or follows oral instruction to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, etc. using forklift, other material movers or by hand if required.
- Communicate with supervisor and expeditors on critical items ensuring those items get to their proper staging place in the time required.
- Work with both expeditors to check materials in and out of plant as needed.
- Document and notify QC in case of discrepancy or problem found with parts.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Must be trained and qualified to operate a tow motor (forklift).
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Minimum 2 years Furniture Experience preferred.
- Ability to read work orders, drawings and route sheets in English in great detail.
