DPI Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our client in Hibbing, Mn.

• Pay is $22.50 an hour.
• Monday to Thursday 3pm to 1am.
• Weekend and holidays off!

Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining equipment and vehicles in optimum condition.
Essential Functions:
1. Service equipment to ensure safety of all employees.
2. Assist in development and implementation of a schedule for preventative maintenance of vehicles, machinery and facilities.
3. Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production equipment and vehicles.
4. Maintain spare parts inventory.
5. Document maintenance functions through the completion of work orders.
6. Design, engineer and fabricate parts and equipment.
7. Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
8. Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
9. Participates in improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills.
10. Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills.
11. Ensure adherence to all current company policies.
12. Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality.
13. Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
14. Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment.
15. Assist in department cleanliness and housekeeping.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. AAS degree in diesel mechanic/heavy equipment maintenance preferred, or equivalent experience.
2. One year or more related experience.
3. Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software.
4. Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other systems.
5. Working knowledge of automotive and diesel engines.
6. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blue prints, schematics, and work orders.
7. Ability to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages).
8. Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.
9. Satisfactory completion of a MVR
10. Satisfactory completion of a DHS Background Study.
11. Satisfactory completion of a drug screening test.
12. Valid state-issued driver’s license.
13. Verified eligibility for employment in the United States.
