PROJECT MANAGER

Las Vegas, Nevada

CG&B/Hellas Construction is now accepting resumes for a full-time Project Manager to join our Civil Construction division in Las Vegas

The Project Manager is the primary leader and is accountable for the success of the projects including safety, financial performance, scheduling, and quality objectives. The project manager will develop and lead the project team while building and maintaining a positive working relationship with the subcontractors, owner, architect, and engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety and ensure that safe working conditions and practices established.
  • Manage all aspects of the assigned projects from award through closeout.
  • Work with Estimating Department to review Project budget and develop project control plan.
  • Generate a buyout plan and write POs and subcontract agreements.
  • Build and obtain approval of the Project Schedule. Assure all permits, fees, and submittals are completed in a timely manner.
  • Attend all project related meetings from pre-construction to closeout to ensure Project is progressing as planned.
  • Review Daily Time Sheets and Reports for completeness and accuracy. Monitor and manage field production to budgeted targets and objectives. Make changes as needed to keep project on track.
  • Maintain and keep current all construction documents (Submittals, RFI’s, change orders, As-built drawings, etc.)
  • Conduct regular field inspections and meetings to ensure compliance with Project requirements.
  • Prepare monthly WIP forecasts and report to HQ accountants.
  • Oversee the pay request process and approve subcontractor payment requests.
  • Prepare weekly schedule updates and job reports.
  • Develop, schedule, and lead the project close-out process.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 years of applicable construction experience as a project manager. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent qualifying experience
  • Previous experience managing diverse civil engineering projects – Earthwork, Grading, Paving, Concrete, Underground Utilities
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • PMP certification a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to read and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills.
  • Proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint. Proficiency in P6, Submittal Exchange, CAD, HCSS Heavy Job, and Microsoft Dynamics a plus
