Position and Responsibilities Overview

Coordinate off-loading with crafts and quality control for controlled materials. Place materials in proper area according to storage and handling lists to initiate storage.

Change forms and document new location when necessary. Load, unload and move material within or near warehouse or worksite.

Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand or fork lift.

• Lead employees in the Wearhouse and aid in directing crew in daily tasks and special projects.
• Responsible for training new hires with the material checking process and paperwork involved.
• Inspect and maintain storage yards and warehouses for cleanliness, etc. and report problems to supervisor.
• Control the Inventory of company tools on jobsites and in the shop and add them to the tool tracking software
• Quality Control and Check pulled / purchased orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment / pickup.
• Communicate with management regarding any issues or discrepancies found.
• Problem solve as issues come up and find solutions with minimal guidance required
• Work with job sites on tool inventory management.
• Oversee the receiving and inventory of inbound tools, consumables, and material.
• Insure documentation is complete and accurate as well as double checking other employee’s paperwork for clerical errors and or discrepancies.
• Locate and prepare materials for outbound shipment and notify supervisor when shipment is ready.
• Load and unload materials within warehouse or storage facility.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other handling equipment to move material.
• Coordinate and perform shipment loading and complete required paperwork.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s request.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
• Experience with Forklift and heavy equipment.
• Warehouse receiving and shipping experienced
• Experienced working with heavy, fabricated and prefabricated construction materials.
• Receives direct supervision.
• Performs technical responsibilities.
• Work is generally structured or recurring.
• Objectives based on established guidelines, processes and operating procedures.

• RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR / First Aid / AED / Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.

Minimum Physical Requirements

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and / or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and / or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
