Hendrickson is Hiring a Maintenance Supervisor Near Hebron, OH
Essential Functions:
- Drive a safety culture within the department and across the facility. Be proactive in identifying and addressing safety concerns.
- Supervise periodic and incidental machine maintenance to insure its completion in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Supervise direct reports activities including work rules, safety programs, attendance, and discipline. Establish and promote a participative environment and pro-active union avoidance program. Seek ways to expand communications and associate involvement.
- Oversee completion of preventative maintenance schedules according to equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, while ensuring that necessary components and parts are purchased as required or directed.
- Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and local, state and federal regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related degree program preferred. Equivalent experience in applicable area is acceptable.
- 3-5 years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting: welding, fabricating and assembly preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting metal cutting laser/plasma and forming equipment preferred.
- Understanding of PLC systems, familiar with Allen Bradley controls a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, NEC NFPA and EPA
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to use computer applications: Word, Excel, Oulook, QAD, Kronos, others as needed
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
- Frequently need to move about inside office and plant designated area.
- Minimal movement of hands, wrists, or fingers such as typing, filing, and writing.
- Frequently need to position self to lift miscellaneous items.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Push/pull 20-40lbs of force 40 feet
- Work environment: office and industrial
- Frequent exposure to loud noises.
- Seasonal exposure to hot and cold working areas.
- Must be able to work in areas without climate controls at times
