Pineland Personal Care Home is Hiring a Caregiver Near Hazlehurst, GA

Caregiver - Pineland Personal Care Home

Schedule: 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday; 10am-6pm Wednesday and Thursday.

A. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Specific tasks performed by the caregiver shall include but not limited to the following:

Personal Care: Bathing Residents, Assist with oral hygiene, assist with hair care, assist resident with bathroom/continence issues, Assist with dressing/grooming, Assist with shaving, and Mending

Nutrition: Encourage proper nutrition within dietary restrictions, prepare meals and wash dishes, assist with feeding resident as needed, and document all changes/substitutions on the menu.

Resident Assistance: Shopping, running errands, engage with scheduled activities

Medically Related Duties: Remind resident to take medication, Document supervision, apply first aid in case of sudden illness/accident, schedule appointments with doctors, clinics, etc., observe and report changes in resident’s condition to on-site administrator, order prescription medications for delivery, notify family when over the counter medications are needed for refill.

Health and Safety: Encourage safety measures, encourage personal hygiene practices, inspect home for hazards, assist with ambulatory residents, conduct/document monthly fire drills, conduct and document 2 disaster drills annually

Cleaning: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, clean rooms-bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, common areas, discard trash, change linens, laundry, ironing, defrost refrigerator, clean stove/range

2. The caregiver/aide/cook documents services performed, incidents/changes in condition on appropriate forms as required.

3. The caregiver/aide/cook reports all incidents/changes in condition to the administrator or executive director.

4. Must be able to follow instructions and work under supervision within the guidelines of this home.

5. Completes required training: CPR/FA, reading materials (in-service manual, food service manual, administrative manual) and other training and/or duties as instructed.

6. All employees will represent the home in a loyal manner.

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
