Quality Eyeglass Outlet is a family-owned and operated business in Hayward, WI. Our goal is to provide the highest quality eyeglasses at the best possible price. We strive for an exceptional experience from the moment a customer walks in the door until they leave with their new eyeglasses. A critical role in this process is our opticians who assist the customer with frame and lens selection, fitting, and dispensing.
We are seeking to grow our optician staff with someone who is kind, motivated, and excited to continue or begin a career in optical. We offer excellent pay, paid time off, and a positive work environment. We are seeking a customer-service oriented individual to fill a full-time or part-time position in our team. Experience is not required—we are willing and excited to train!
Duties: -Assisting with frame and lens selection based on customer’s needs
-Completing simple repairs (changing nosepads, replacing screws, etc.
-Taking measurements to ensure proper lens design and fit
-Adjusting and dispensing eyeglasses in close proximity to customers
-Creating work orders and ordering lenses on the computer
-Teaching customers how to properly clean and care for their eyeglasses
-Additional duties may eventually include partial lab technician role (edging/fitting lenses, more advanced repairs, tinting lenses, etc) at our on-site laboratory
Schedule: We are open Wednesday-Saturday. Schedule will vary depending on part- time or full-time status.
Wage: We offer highly competitive pay for our market and geographical location. Wage will be based on experience and part-time or full- time employment status.
