La Familia offers a recruitment bonus for any Behavioral Health or Substance Use Disorder programs and positions that require occupational licenses or certifications are eligible. This bonus is paid throughout your first year of continued employment.Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
- Participates in the evaluation of strengths and needs, the formulation of diagnoses, and the development of treatment plans
- Prepares social case histories with particular emphasis upon psycho-social factors affecting the client and family system
- Provides psycho-therapeutic intervention, treatment, and other related mental health services to participants and their families
- Coordinates with other staff members and community agencies in carrying out treatment and/or rehabilitation plans
- Participates in staff development programs and in conferences regarding clients and professional clinical approaches
- Interprets and explains to clients, relatives, community groups about social and emotional factors pertaining to mental illness and substance use
- Refers clients to appropriate community agencies
- Provides quality documentation
- Utilizes a personal computer to send and receive work-related electronic mail, and access and maintain electronic records and files
- Attend trainings and participate in events relevant to key responsibilities
- Track and regularly report on key metrics for responsible function areas
- Leads and collaborate on special projects related to agency objectives as appropriate
- Graduate degree in mental health/social work field (e.g. Ph.D, PSY.D., MSW, or MFT) and licensed in the State of California or proof of registration with BBS
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and the needs of returning citizens
- Knowledge of principles and practices of modern clinical psychology, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and staff of all levels
- Ability to determine the needs of individual situations regarding diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, take an effective course of action, and follow through with treatment plans
- Non-Profit and Community Based Organization experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrates and models excellent “customer service” orientation, especially in the ability to interact with people at all levels within and outside the agency.
- Thinks independently and can make informed decisions when needed.
- Exercises extreme discretion with the ability to hold, balance and transmit public and confidential information needed by various parties.
- Proficient using MS Office products, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Acquires or maintains proficiency in using Google Drive products, including Docs, Sheets, and Forms.
