JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for procuring direct materials and services used by Unitech Composites. Assigned commodities may include, pre-preg materials, chemicals, adhesives, and/or COTS hardware. Specific responsibilities include issuing and managing purchase orders, developing new suppliers, quoting new parts, supplier performance management, negotiating supplier contracts, and leading cost savings and commodity improvement initiatives.

EDUCATON / EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with recent experience supporting a manufacturing organization is preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including proficiency in Excel and Word
Certificates and Licenses: PMP certification is preferred.
Other Requirements: Specialized knowledge of aerospace commercial or military contracting and procurement requirements and understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes. Occasional business travel, with the ability for short notice may be required.
