Main Street Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics is growing!! We're excited to add another hygienist to our office located in Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078. This position will begin mid-July and will be part-time, working Tuesdays 8:00-5:00 and Fridays 8:00-3:00.

Our ideal dental hygienist is someone who loves working with children, has the ability to thrive in a busy environment, and has a positive & professional demeanor.

Previous hands-on experience working as an RDH is always a plus, but we also encourage new Hygiene grads to apply as well. The candidate we hire must have an active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland. New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon. 

Our office is close to downtown Havre de Grace and Promenade and convenient to Harford and Cecil counties.

Responsibilities

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times 
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. 
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. 
• Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active dental hygiene license for the state of Maryland
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
