Minimum 1 years teaching experience required.
We are currently partnering with a school in the Burnham, Illinois area seeking a passionate and energetic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team and inspire students to develop healthy habits and a love for physical activity.
As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic and inclusive PE curriculum for students in PreK through 8th grade.
You will encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle choices while adapting activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students.
Requirements :
- Must have an active Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsement for PE
- Must have a Bachelors degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Position Details :
- 08 / 21 / 2024 - 06 / 02 / 2025
- Full-Time / 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm
- Caseload : PreK - 8th grade, specific / additional caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
- Pay Range : $20 - $43 per hour, depending on previous experience
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical fitness, motor skills, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Adapt and modify activities to ensure inclusivity and participation of all students, regardless of physical ability.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and cooperation.
- Assess and monitor students progress in physical education and provide feedback to help them improve.
- Organize and oversee school-wide physical activities, events, and sports programs.
- Knowledge of physiology, health and nutrition, biology and biological functions, anatomy, hygiene, exercise, and best ways to promote physical and mental well-being.
