The Manager of Central Sterile Processing is responsible for all medical/surgical sterile and supply related functions. The responsibility entails operations and quality of service provided, employee development, operating and capital budget accountability and short/long-term planning.
A typical day of the Manager is spent rounding with supervisors and staff, addressing any issues or barriers that arise, completing staff schedules, preparing and holding monthly staff meetings, attending and contributing to shift reports, helping the team work through and achieve set goals, assigning team goals, and working through departmental statistics and records to ensure accuracy. This role is also responsible for working closely with EVS, Infection Control, and Regulatory to ensure the department is always survey ready.
