Immediate opening for a multi-talented Civil Engineering Project Manager in the OHM Advisors’ Hancock Michigan office.

What You’ll Contribute to OHM Advisors

As a Project Manager, you will bring your high level of leadership, coordination, marketing, business development efforts, and client/project/quality/service management skills. You will help grow OHM Advisors with your enthusiasm toward mentoring a team to successfully coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of Architects, Engineers, Planners, and Landscape Architects, to achieve project delivery that meets our clients’ goals.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Municipal Group, the Project Manager’s responsibilities include a mix of Project Management and Business Development. The primary focus of the position is on the delivery of projects in the Michigan Market.

Project Management (95%)

  • Deliver quality service and deliverables to our clients.
  • Understand your client’s needs, goals, and expectations and communicate them effectively to your team.
  • Track scope and schedule for all projects. Be accountable for the financial management of projects including assistance with billing.
  • Usher projects through the local, state, or federal approval process. Ensure that documents meet design and best practice standards.
  • Sign and seal projects that you oversee with your team.

Business Development (5%)

  • Support Principals in providing excellent municipal services to their clients.
  • Assist Business Development staff with client management and development.
  • Prepare winning proposals that fit clients’ needs – from small to large-size projects.

Your Team

Beyond the Municipal Engineering team, of Civil Engineers, you will be working with a multidisciplinary team of Architects, Engineers, Planners, and Landscape Architects. What You Will Need to Succeed

To thrive on this journey with us, you will need to bring interest in our work and have examples for the below:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in Municipal Engineering; 5 years as a project manager or a similar role.
  • People Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, proactive, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and effectively deal with client requests.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience or familiarity working with, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, preferred. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communication: Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills. Must be a strong listener of client needs.
  • Travel Requirements: Local travel to project locations and client offices. Occasional travel to regional offices. Travel mostly within Michigan
