Summary :

Upper Great Lakes Family Health (UGLFH) is seeking Dental Assistant Apprecentices to join us in fulfilling our mission of providing quality healthcareservices to our communities.

Apprentices will get on-the-job (OTJ) experiencein a local UGL clinic as Dental Assistants and will be eligible for employee benefitsand will be offered continued employment upon successful completion of theprogram.

Training enrollment, apprentice support (such as computer, scrubs, studyguides, practice tests, and exam fees) will be provided by UGL with a 2-yearcommitment.

Responsibilities, included but not limited to :

• Enroll in an online, self-paced training program identified by the health center and complete and pass all coursework within one year of enrollment date.
• Engage in OTJ learning with designated mentor and learn to perform tasks independently.
• Perform patient care and support tasks as assigned (within scope and training).
• Observe all health and safety procedures and workplace policies.
• Remain open to receiving feedback and strive to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Evidence of basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
