Part of the Hampton Marina and Dry Storage (HMDS), Marine Mechanic is involved in almost all aspects of installing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, water jets, outboard engines, gas, and diesel generators. Including work on steering systems, transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel systems and minor electrical. Knowledge of internal workings of these parts is critical as is the ability to troubleshoot any problems that arise. Has the ability to work alone or in a team, read electrical diagrams and manuals. Must have the ability to work in tight spaces and have attention to detail. Apply strict adherence to industry safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.

Applicant Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Technical Training Certifications from OEM

Valid Driver's License; Forklift Training Certificatons

Minimum of 2 years experience

Monday through Friday 40-45hrs/week with occasional overtime may be required, possible weekends.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $35 to $45 per hour. These figures represent what HMDS reasonably expect to pay for this position, but actual compensation offered will depend on numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, location, education and market data. HMDS reserves the right to modify the range in the future. At the end of 90-day probation / successful performance review; HMDS will discuss with the employee compensation to include reimbursement for insurance, etc.
