We are looking for 1-2 Professional Cleaners to add to our team to carry out general move out cleaning duties in empty apartments and around apartment communities. Our role in the process is to take an empty apartment and clean it so that it is ready for the new residents to move in.

Reliability and attention to detail is an absolute must. This is a part-time position starting out, but has potential to grow into more frequent, regular cleans within a very short time. Our client base is growing, and we need reliable cleaners on our team first! Current jobs are in Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach so candidates must be willing to travel throughout the Southside to job locations.
*Note: If a candidate resides in the Hampton/Newport News area, and proves to be reliable and able to work independently, we have additional opportunities in that general area that we can explore if you're willing to be patient while we grow our client base in that area.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean all areas of an empty apartment or single-family home including, but not limited to wiping down all surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents and fans, bathroom cleaning, deep cleaning kitchen appliances, windows and blinds, etc.
• Perform and document routine inspection and cleaning activities with a provided checklist
• Additional work opportunities for routine (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) cleaning of common areas such as hallways, breezeways, fitness centers, offices, clubhouses, etc. - Note: breezeway cleans are outside in all seasons and temperatures, candidates who accept these jobs must be willing to work year-round
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as needed
• Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs (additional pay is provided on a case-by-case basis when cleaning requirements are abnormal)
• Ability to follow a given schedule, with a degree of flexibility for unforeseen changes and additions that occur from time to time
• Follow all health and safety regulations including proper use of PPE, chemicals, and equipment

Skills

• Proven working experience as a cleaner - references are a plus!
• Ability to handle moderately heavy equipment (moving appliances out to clean under/behind them)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
• Integrity, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and punctuality
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team for larger cleaning projects
• Good communication and customer service skills

Requirements

• Driver's license with reliable transportation; willing to go where the work is
• Full-time applicants must have the ability to clean 1-2 apartments per day; each clean averages about 4 hours (some take longer, some less depending on the condition of the home)
• Cell phone with internet capabilities - all scheduling is done through an app

Note: This position may require occasional weekend or evening shifts if you have the availability and want to work but those jobs are only occasional and not required.
