ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyzes Equipment Problems:
- Analyzes mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on equipment, plans for, and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to make sure equipment maintains maximum production and quality standards.
- Notifies maintenance department manager and operations supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
- Review’s production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, performs scheduled maintenance. Assists operations team with change overs, when necessary.
- Test’s equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Prove out equipment function after repairs, change overs or extended downtime.
- Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
- Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operate lathes, milling machine, grinders, saws, and presses. Plans setup and operates typical machine tools, producing parts to close tolerances, and company specifications.
- Preforms additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical/pneumatic equipment
- Extensive knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment
- Fabrication and blueprinting skills for part creation and machine maintenance
- Ability to read and write in English, with strong communication skills
