Bring your mechanical experience to this growing production team in Hamburg, PA. Doherty is partnering with a leading print production manufacturer in Hamburg, PA.

We’re seeking candidates for an Equipment Technician to perform set-ups and maintain, adjust, and troubleshoot lettershop production equipment.

This role will work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4-days per week, including weekend rotations. Compensation for this direct hire job is based on skills and experience.

What you will do as the Equipment Technician :

• Use hand tools effectively to maintain, set-up and repair equipment; adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Identify issues and perform repairs quickly; escalate as necessary.
• Set up, maintain, adjust and troubleshoot all production equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Document all mechanical activities.
• Assist in training new mechanics when required on set-up and operation of equipment.
• Use safe work techniques; including lifting and confined space entry; use proper PPE.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks; troubleshoot basic mechanical breakdowns.

What you need to become the Equipment Technician :

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of previous experience with mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Previous experience in print or direct mail equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and write English and understand oral and written communications.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekend rotations.
• Ability to lift, carry and push / pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. #metrocareers
