VSSI STAFFING IN HALTOM CITY IS HIRING FOR A QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR FOR A CLIENT IN HALTOM CITY

Job location : Haltom City
Hours : M-F 8am-4 : 30pm, OT as required by need. Saturdays as needed.
Pay Rate : $15-16 per hour
Duration : Temp to perm- opportunity for benefits package once perm
Environment : Non-climate controlled, water / Gatorade provided.
Dress Code : long pants / shorts, appropriate t-shirt / shirt, and tennis shoes. No dangling jewelry, hair, etc.
Experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. No job hoppers will be considered.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct through inspections of raw material, in process components and finished products / services.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
- Processing returned goods so that customers can receive credit and parts can be dispositioned according to their condition.
- Processing and maintaining nonconforming products (QC hold).
- Certifying measuring instruments so that is it fit for future use.
- Document and report non-conformities and deviations from quality standards.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality.
- Willing to work in other departments as the company warrants.
Qualifications :
- One year or more of Quality Control Inspector preferred.
- Familiarty with measuring instruments, especially micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with reading prints and measuring parts to prints.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. repeatedly UNASSISTED.
- Positive attitude, exemplary attendance and reliable team member.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- NO felonies, no violent misdemeanors.
- MUST pass a drug test.
