NC Department of Adult Correction is Hiring an Administrative Associate II Near Halifax, NC

Description Of WorkThis position is located at Roanoke River Correctional Institution in Halifax County which consist of a medium and minimum custody prison facility housing 1,038 male offenders. The position serves as a record clerk for offender records and maintains a variety of records and documents using a systematic filing system. Communications with other staff and members of the general public in verbal and written form and interaction with criminal offenders in meeting daily and monthly deadlines will be required. Must be able to operate various office machines such as copiers, fax machines, scanner, and personal computer and use various computer software (MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Email). This position handles confidential and sensitive information for inclusion in offender records and correspondence. Work may require the use of a variety of manual or automated office systems which are used to establish, retrieve, verify, research, update and/or authorize processing actions. Must be able to plan work accordingly, understand directives, and carry out both oral and written instructions. This position provides secretarial/clerical support to the programs section. This position will retrieve data from various DAC automated systems and is responsible for scheduling weekly offender contact and video visitations and entering visitation applications.
