Creative Financial Staffing is Hiring a Bookkeeper Near Halethorpe, MD
- Our repeat client is a PE backed manufacturer in the Baltimore area. Due to a retirement, they are hiring a Bookkeeper to join their accounting team on a contract to hire basis
- This Bookkeeper will work with a small and lean, tight knit accounting team. This company is big on internal development and promoting from within.
- Typical schedule: M-F 9am-5:30pm, 100% on site in Halethorpe, MD. Potential for one day work from home after training
- Candidates must be comfortable working overtime if needed
- Reports directly to the Assistant Controller (who was placed by CFS!)
- Salary $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
- Work primarily with accounts receivable and payroll and handle AP duties as needed
- Assist with month and year end close
- Perform purchase order reconciliations
- Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT
- Produce monthly financial and management reports
- Investigate accounting related issues and resolve as needed
- Perform administrative and other tasks as needed
- 2 years' accounting/office experience required
- Bachelors degree in related field highly preferred
- Accounting experience in the manufacturing industry beneficial, but not required
- Experience using QuickBooks a plus
- Proficiency with Excel (ability to do pivot tables) required
- Able to take direction
