Location: Harmony, PA (Plant location)

Located near Pittsburgh, in Harmony, PA, U.S. Liner LLC was founded in 1983. Since 1998, the company has been a leading supplier of composite materials that are widely used in the truck/trailer market and supports an ever-widening range of applications in the automotive, RV, rail and intermodal transportation, and building products.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a General Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of US Liner LLC. This senior leadership position will oversee all aspects of company operations to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong leadership skills, strategic vision and operational expertise to lead our company to continued success and growth. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, operational oversight, team leadership, stakeholder management, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. The General Manager will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and ensuring its long-term success in a competitive market landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to drive and manage a culture change.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives while promoting revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR, etc.).
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performance management team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and enhance operational processes and systems to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the VP of Finance in achieving company goals. 
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to set and achieve strategic goals, including expansion plans, new market development, and product/service diversification.
  • Analyze financial performance, market trends, and other key metrics to make informed decisions and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and ethical standards, maintaining a strong commitment to corporate governance and social responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and excellence throughout the organization, promoting creativity, risk-taking, and continuous learning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of driving organizational growth and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers, vendors and employees. 
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and professionalism in all aspects of business conduct.
  • Sales experience would be a plus.
