Position Summary:
To provide quality, compassionate homemaking, and personal care to the client according to the care plan; to complete all requisite paperwork and documentation in a timely and correct manner. The primary goals are to promote consumer dignity, independence, comfort, mobility, personal appearance, and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
a. Performs homemaking and personal care duties in the client’s home, during the hours and on the days assigned.
b. Assists the client with other needs as outlined by the care plan.
c. Recognizes the importance of a clean, healthy environment in performing household tasks and takes measures to keep the home in safe condition.
d. Protects and respects the confidentiality of all client records and relationships and keeps all client personal health information according to policy.
e. Completes requisite paperwork and documentation on time and accurately.
f. Attends training applicable to the duties performed and makes other training needs known to the office staff.
g. Follows agency policies and procedures.
h. Communicates with the appropriate office personnel on client needs and assists in coordinating care with family members.
Position Requirements:
a. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Basic first aid and CPR, preferred
b. Education:
High school / GED or equivalent, preferred
c. Experience:
i. Experience in the field of home healthcare, preferred
ii. Experience managing a home and family or caring for disabled individuals, preferred
d. Special Qualifications:
Current driver’s license required
Degree of Supervision Required:
Involves general guidance and direction by the Care Coordinator, Agency Manager, Area Administrator, and Leadership Team. The employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently per established departmental and PeopleCare policies and procedures.

Working Conditions:
Essential physical requirements, such as standing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, or typing.
Physical effort/lifting, heavy - over 50 pounds.
May be required to work weekends, nights, or be on-call as a regular part of the job.

Travel to and from assignments within a 60-mile radius is expected.
