Shoreline Mohs Surgery/Advanced Dermatology, a robust, well-established independent and privately-owned surgical practice located in Guilford, CT is seeking to hire a full time Surgical/Medical Assistant to assist with Mohs Skin Cancer Surgical cases and Reconstructions.

This position is a vital part of the surgical process and is essential to successful surgical outcomes. Prior Dermatology, Surgical or Wound Care experience preferred, but not required. Histology/Pathology experience is desirable, however we are willing to train the right candidate. New graduates are urged to apply.

This position will be assisting in all aspects of dermatologic patient care, both clinical and administrative, including, but not limited to:

- Assisting with Mohs Surgical Procedures

- Micrographic Histology

- Rooming patients

- Verifying patients demographics/insurance

- Assisting and setting up surgical procedures (Biopsy, ED&C, PDT, Excision, etc.)

- In-room scribe/completing provider charts/notes

- Calling patients with biopsy results

- Suture removals/wound care

- Stocking and cleaning rooms

- Instrument cleaning and sterilization

This position may at times (very rarely) require coverage assistance at our Norwich location 1 day/week only as necessary and with advanced notification.
