Mt Hood Pet Medical is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, reliable, and responsible individual to join our team in providing high quality medical care to pets and excellent service to their families. If you are willing to take initiative and put your full effort into learning and growing into this position no experience is required. We have a great team of professionals available to train and mentor new team members.

We offer a four day work week and we are closed on Sundays. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays. Shifts would be from 8am-7pm during the week and 9a-5pm on Saturday.

Veterinary Assistant Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Admit patients, perform TPR and take medical history
• Client education on preventative care and doctor’s recommendations
• Chart documentation
• All aspects of animal care including medication and injection administration, blood and urine sample collection, pet restraint, fluid therapy, and radiology (if certified).
• Keep exam rooms clean and well stocked throughout the day
• Assist with client phone calls and appointment scheduling when necessary
• Patient discharge

Full time employees are eligible for our full benefit package after the first 90 days.
