Tooling Technician

Zing Recruiting in partnership with a prominent client in Greer, SC seeking a Tooling Technician to join their team. This position ensures molds are repaired and fully functional to optimize quality, mold utilization and cavitation. The perfect candidate will have 5 years’ experience in the below job requirements. Tooling Technician Job Summary:

• $32/Hourly
• Full Time/Direct Hire
• Day Shift, Mon-Fri 7:15am to 3:45pm
• Full Benefits/Paid Vacation
• Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles molds.
• Replaces worn or broken tooling.
• Utilizes production monitoring system to evaluate and continuously improve the mold preventative maintenance program on all molds. Properly document all preventative maintenance and mold improvements.
• Initiates communication and interaction with Manufacturing Team to maintain full cavitation, utilization, and efficiency of the molds.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities to the molds and maintains the customer’s assets in peak functional condition.

Tooling Technician Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use a drill press, pedestal grinder, and basic hand tools.
• Physical skills necessary to utilize mold disassembly, assembling tools and handling molds.
• Self-motivated to learn and perform job tasks to meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
