Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Specialist to join our team. The Material Specialist will be responsible for overseeing production planning, warehouse management, materials handling, and inventory control.
Duties:
- Coordinate and execute production planning activities to ensure timely material availability for production processes.
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage or loss during storage or transportation.
- Utilize data visualization tools to track inventory levels and monitor material flow.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
- Manage contracts with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed in a warehouse environment.
- Utilize AS400 and Power BI software for material tracking and reporting.
Skills:
- Strong background in production planning and warehouse management.
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools for inventory monitoring.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with AS400 and Power BI software is a plus.
