GreenWood, Inc. is Hiring a Materials Technician I (Greer, SC - MGR) Near Greer, SC

Job Description

GreenWood employees, in Greer, SC, normally work 40 hours per week, 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We are currently looking for applicants who are interested in a position without the need to travel. Since employees do not travel, we do not pay per diem. GreenWood does offer paid vacation and holiday time.

The Materials Technician is responsible for performing the daily tasks and operations of the tool room attendant, warehousing, receiving, and tool repair. Level is determined by level of skill and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a constant supply of inventory for tool room
  • Orders material as necessary using SAP, internet and various other means
  • Issues inventory from the tool room and charge the cost to correct work orders
  • Maintains Received goods into Warehouse
  • Supports plant receiving documentation by creating and maintaining proper records for all ordered and received goods while adhering to the client's receiving procedures
  • Maintains and Repairs power and hand tools
  • Keeps essential hand tool clean and ready to be checked out for use
  • Documents repair cost and replaces tools as necessary
  • Conducts Quarterly safety checks on all tools and ladders
  • Supports third party rigging inspections, hoist inspections, and fire extinguisher inspections
  • Maintains gas bottle, fastener, and non-automated GR03 inventories
  • Enters purchase orders for rental equipment
  • Schedules rental equipment delivery and pick-up
  • Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities


Qualifications

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency
  • A high working knowledge of computer systems and programs
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates a high level of communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job but with minimal direct supervision
  • Good knowledge of tools and the functions of them
  • An understanding of the Safety Requirements for equipment, tools, rigging, and ladders
  • Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
