OPERATIONS MANAGER

1.0JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

1.1The basic function of the Operations Manager is to oversee the administration, direction, and coordination of their regional operations division.

1.2The Operations Manager is to make every effort to maximize profit and control cost to ensure stability and future growth within their region.

1.3The Operations Manager is a primary interface between Ajax and the Architect, Engineer, and Owner.

2.0REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

2.1The Operations Manager reports to and is directly accountable to the Regional Manager.

2.2The regional Project Managers report directly to the Operations Manager.

3.0ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

3.1Profit/Loss responsibility for assigned projects.

3.2Hire, terminate, and/or change the duties of assigned personnel, following established company policies, procedures, and practices.

3.3Oversee training and evaluate project managers within your region.

3.4Audit jobsites in your region for efficiency and accuracy.

3.5Act as company representative in negotiations with the owners.

3.6Take active role in business development.

4.0DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1Train and supervise all Project Managers in your region.

4.2Oversee the Project Managers in your region to control time, cost, quality and safety on the project.

4.3Review reports used by Ajax to keep top management accurately informed as to the effectiveness of the management of time, cost, quality and safety.

4.4Oversee preparation of the project budget.

4.5Oversee preparation of the project schedule.

4.6Audit any activities and details associated with and needed for an efficient, profitable project from signing of the contract to conclusion of warranty period.

4.7Being totally committed to active participation in the company's Quality Improvement Plan.

4.8Supervision of those reporting to him.

4.9Maintain good relations with Project Managers and Owners.
