Description of role:

We are looking for a PT PCA (Personal Assistant) to become a part of our facility's compassionate care-giving team. The PCA will interact directly with patients providing comfort and transportation, monitoring their vital signs and assisting with daily living needs. We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic individual to be a vital link between our clients and staff

Tasks:

• Assist with daily living activities. This includes preparing light meals to patients and also assisting light house cleaning.
• Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with help with baths, shampoos and showers.
• Transport client to doctor appointments and the store as needed.
• Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures in accordance with state regulations.

Skills and requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Be at least eighteen years of age
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
• High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
• Pass SBI state required criminal background check
• Shall have at least one year experience in home care, companion, sitter, or respite services
• Must have a baseline skin test for TB
• CPR & First Aid
• Must obtain a Negative Covid Test
