Tenneco is Hiring an Industrial Electrician Near Greenville, MI
- Troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical control systems, wiring setups, and lighting systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in moves, and installs machinery.
- Responsible for the start up and shutdown of specific plant machines and equipment.
- Participate in process improvement.
- Maintain housekeeping in the department in order to facilitate a neat, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Assist management as appropriate, to ensure all environmental and safety regulations as well as best practices are met and/or exceeded. Ensure the proper segregation and labeling of all waste products and recyclables, and ensure waste minimization is practiced wherever possible. Adhere to all plant safety rules.
- Ability to be licensed and drive a powered industrial truck.
- Ability to work all shifts.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Eight (8) years of electrical experience and/or UAW Electrician Journeymen.
- Previous experience in an manufacturing environment preferred.
- Blueprint reading.
- Knowledge and use of precision gauging equipment.
- Knowledge of machine tool operation, machine design and operation.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals preferred.
- Ability to work in a team or individual environment.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to wear a respirator and adhere to all lead regulations.
