Position: Middle School Math Teacher

Position to Begin August 2024

Terms: Part-Time with the option to combine with a STEM/STREAM position for Full-Time

Qualifications:

Our Lady of Grace Catholic School is looking for a dedicated MATH teacher committed to serving the needs of students and interested in working in a Catholic environment. Founded in 1953, OLG is committed to honoring the dignity of each child, recognizing and growing their gifts to be intentional disciples and servant leaders.

To be successful in the role, candidates will

  • Plan lessons for Middle School Math, including high school math courses, PreAlgebra, Algebra I, and Geometry for students in grades 6-8 that meet standards and engage students, differentiating as needed.
  • Live out and model Catholic/Christian virtue, worship, beliefs, and lifestyle.
  • Be optimistic, flexible, patient, and a team player.
  • Display solid communication skills and have a positive rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Have a successful history of working with children, teachers and parents; experience working with students' special education needs is preferred.
  • Promote our mission by contributing to committees, assisting with student activities, and performing other supporting duties.
  • Have earned an appropriate undergraduate or graduate degree and NC Teacher certification. (If no NC certification, the candidate must meet diocesan standards for assignment.)

The Teacher must be responsible and proactive as he or she may perform a wide range of tasks in order to support the learning and behavior goals of each student.

Additional Information:

Candidates must have a successful history of working with children in education or a related field. Candidates must provide a resume, cover letter, and three references from supervisors. Candidates must be willing to submit to a criminal background check for employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $37,000.00 per year
