We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Dairy and Cheese Buyer for our manufacturing department. This role is pivotal in sourcing the best quality dairy and cheese products for our production line.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy procurement and supplier management, coupled with a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry.

This is a permanent position with the opportunity for growth and development within the company.

Responsibilities :

• Source and procure high-quality dairy and cheese products from domestic and international suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Utilize MRP and ERP systems for inventory management and procurement planning.
• Regularly review market trends, supplier products, and prices to identify potential new suppliers and products.
• Work closely with the production team to understand their requirements and ensure the timely delivery of products.
• Continuously improve purchasing strategies and drive down costs without compromising product quality.
• Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or pricing disputes with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to dairy and cheese products.
• Participate in regular reviews of supplier performance and provide feedback to improve the supplier relationship.

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a dairy buying role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in using MRP and ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of dairy and cheese products, including their production processes, quality standards, and market prices.
• Excellent supplier relationship management skills, with a track record of negotiating favorable terms and resolving disputes.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
