Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Communication Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various communication technologies and be able to troubleshoot and maintain communication systems effectively.
Duties:
- Perform fiber splicing, installation, and maintenance of communication systems
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to install and repair equipment
- Collaborate with service technicians to address communication issues promptly
- Handle telephone and telecommunication systems efficiently
- Maintain electrical components related to communication systems
- Implement Ethernet and computer networking protocols
- Conduct cabling installations and repairs as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Communication Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in fiber splicing techniques
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment installation and repair
- Knowledge of electrical systems in a communication environment
- Understanding of Ethernet, computer networking, and cabling practices
