BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION Responsible for daily input, month-end closing, and preparing financial supporting documents for one or more Kubota divisions and/or subsidiaries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Prepare account reconciliations, calculate supporting account adjustments, prepare and post journal entries; ledgers, intercompany accounts, inventory, bank accounts and payroll accounts and perform analytical review of company accounts. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:Mentor and train new hires to the department.Calculate, input and record certain account balances in accordance with GAAP, including but not limited to accruals for expenses, reserves for contingencies, reclasses of expenses, daily cash transactions, etc.Reconcile and analyze certain general ledger accounts to ensure proper recording of transactions. Accounts may include any or all of the following, but are not limited to: subsidiary ledgers, inter-company ledgers, bank accounts, advances, prepaid expenses, inventories, fixed assets, Construction-In-Progress, Personal and Real Property taxes, and marketing accruals.Perform analytical reviews of accounts to identify variances or trends which will aid in business management decisions.Support and prepare PBC (prepared by client) audit and reviews.Additional duties as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.CPA license preferred.At least 5 years related accounting or related experience required.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and general accounting processes.Intermediate to advanced excel skills.SAP experience desired but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Typical office environment DISCLAIMER:The information provided in the description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by incumbents within the classification.
