```Duties```

As an Optometrist, these are some of the things you will be responsible for:

- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and identify any underlying eye conditions or diseases.
- Prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed.
- Diagnosing and treating eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

- Have a friendly personality.

- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology practices and procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in medical coding to accurately document patient diagnoses and treatments.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Succession planning abilities to ensure continuity of care within the practice.
- Experience in pediatric optometry to address the unique visual needs of children.
- Solid understanding of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology to diagnose and treat various eye conditions effectively.

HOURS:

Prefer full time O. D., but willing to look at part time hour’s if necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $127,000.00 per year
