Job Objective :

Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in manufacturing and administrative operations and in maintaining / verifying and keeping records.

Direct and perform manufacturing operations and general maintenance to ensure operations.

Major Job Functions :

Supervisor and direct manufacturing operations consistent with company goals and objectives.

Consult, work with and report to company resources on process improvements, changes and daily operations.

Troubleshoot facility and equipment failures and repair / arrange for proper resources.

Coordinate, direct and complete operation goals while maintaining an encouraging and professional work environment.

Administer required production, safety and environmental processes for personnel and operations.

Work with coworkers to promote ideal working environment and process flow.

Maintain and order supplies.

Respond to employee questions, investigations, emergencies, and process changes as needed.

Conduct various administrative tasks associated with monitoring / improving operations, keeping historical records, updating SOP’s and keeping stakeholders informed.

Various other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications : Minimum Education :

Minimum Education :

Associates degree in mechanical field or equivalent.

Minimum Years of Experience :

At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

Experience guiding and directing employees in a manufacturing environment.

Strong exposure to mechanical repairs and maintenance.

Minimum Skills Required (Language, math, reasoning) :

Ability to read and understand complicated operational and repair manuals and government regulations.

Ability to communicate technical information and instruction to a variety of people.

Ability to conduct math such as addition / subtraction, percentages and fractions including working with metric measurement.

Ability to solve complicated problems involving various factors and influences.

Ability to Use : Various hand tools.

Various hand tools.

Forklift and various power equipment (depending on department) including, drill presses, saws, shears, brakes, presses, hoists, hydraulic lifts and others.

Welding equipment.

Performance Expectations :

Timely resolution to maintenance issues and new installations or modifications.

Cost effective preventative and contracted services.

Maintained building, grounds and internal equipment.

Requires the ability to operate lift equipment in the manufacturing setting such as forklifts, hoists, and hydraulic lifts
