Position TypePRN or as needed.
Position QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate's degree in Human Service area (i.e. psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, anthropology) preferred. One (1) year previous experience in human services related field preferred.
Job PurposeProvides direct services and supervision to the clients in the Child and Adolescent Program and/or the Adult Inpatient Program. Coordinates care with other clinical and medical staff as necessary, and as directed per Multidisciplinary Treatment Plans. Interacts with clients and provides support, structure, stability, and positive role modeling.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability(include Materials And Equipment Directly Used)
- Ability to relate in a supportive and non-judgmental manner with persons in distress.
- Ability to observe and describe behavior and/or symptomatic changes.
- Knowledge of mental illness and psychopathology and associated treatment modalities.
- Working knowledge of Colorado Revised Statutes 27-65 (Mental Health Code).
- Knowledge of community health and mental health resources and their eligibility criteria.
- CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider prior to independent patient care required.
- CPI Training/Certification required prior to independent patient care required. Must have ability to perform duties required by CPI training to provide verbal de-escalation and physical and mechanical restraints if necessary (Training for certification will be provided).
- Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet access.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including calculator, copy machine, fax and multi-line telephone.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to exercise frequent independent judgment and initiative.
