  • Overview* CHI Health St. Francis was established in Grand Island Neb. in 18
  • Today our hospital is a regional referral center with more than 100 physicians and more than 1100 employees working together to build a healthier community. Our goal is to provide patients with high-quality medical care close to home where they can be supported by their family friends and community.
  • Responsibilities* ***Sign-on Bonus Eligibility***
Rotating shifts 5:30am-1:30pm and 11am- 7:30pm. Rotating weekends and holidays.
The most qualified will be contacted by email.
  • Plans and prepares foods according to recipes and time schedules.
  • Works as a team member in pre preparation, preparation, portioning, and storage of food. Assists on patient tray assembly line.
  • Exercises quality control, including portion sizes and temperature standards. Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures in designated work areas.
  • Logs information on production sheets and other records required in the department.
  • Assists in food product evaluation, test trays, and environmental sanitation inspections.
  • Maintains a high standard of sanitation in area of responsibility to comply with hospital management, local and state inspectors, JCAHO and CMS. Cleans and maintains all equipment and work areas.
  • Takes care of hospital equipment and reports any equipment that is not working properly or equipment that is not safe
  • Qualifications* Required: Good cooking skills with restaurant or institutional background. Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and a consistent positive demeanor. Works well with others. Ability to read and write. Ability to calculate amounts of ingredients when adjusting recipes. Ability to interpret written instructions and follow through with oral instructions. Complete Food Services Sanitation class or inservice.
  • Pay Range* $14.78 - $20.33 /hour
