JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare and/or assist with preparing light meals and eating for patients
• Communicate with patients, families, co-workers, and supervisors regarding care
• Use effective interpersonal skills with patients, including listening and good verbal skills
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, washing dishes, sweeping, keeping areas clean, vacuuming, etc.)
• Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene activities
• Maintain and document proper care records
• Assist with transferring, toileting, and mobility in the home
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment for the patient
• Follow the appropriate care plan for the patient
• Run errands for patients
• Report any issues or concerns regarding patients to Supervisor
• Attend appropriate training related to job
• Engage in and maintain positive social interaction with patients
