Kensington School is Hiring a Behavior Support Specialist Near Glenview, IL

Join our growing team! Kensington School is a full-day private school & childcare for infants through Kindergarten age, with fourteen locations in the Chicago area.

Kensington School is looking for a Behavior Support Specialist to work with all age groups. We want to ensure our children are on track for healthy development while making sure all of their needs are met. Our Behavior Support Specialist will observe children and complete assessments to identify how we can best care for children who may need extra support in our classroom environments. Our Behavior Support Specialist will work closely with our Administrators and Teachers to develop behavior plans, plan classroom strategies, and ensure proper implementation of behavior plans. Behavior Specialists will also work with children in small groups to teach lessons on social emotional learning. 

Ideally this is a full-time position but we may have schedule flexibility for the right candidate(s).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in psychology, social work or related field required
  • 1 year of experience in behavior assessment and supports for young children required
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Registered Behavior Technician or Licensure from National Board of Certified Counselors of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board preferred.

Compensation starts at $24 per hour
