Staff Accountant This may be the opportunity for you if you have experience in:> Accounting> General Ledgers> Journal EntriesAbout this position:Responsible for independently performing a variety of accounting functions. Also performs a variety of duties to maintain the general ledger accounts of the Company.
Responsibilities> Assist with the accounting for Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Leases and other areas as deemed necessary.
> Prepare/post JEs for a variety of areas such as Pension, Loan (sales), dealer reserves, expense accruals and other areas as assigned
> Perform/review account reconciliations for assigned accounts – not limited to above areas
> Assist with verifying and/or coding of invoices and expense vouchers for proper input.
> Assist Accounting Operations Manager with creating and enhancing internal procedures
> A ssist with departmental training. Provide support / guidance as appropriate to co-workers and customers.
> Assist with the Accounting Representative’s duties as needed.
> Prepare/post journal entries as needed

Education/Certifications:> Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience required
> 6 years of accounting or related experience (degree included) required; Banking a plus
Skills/Knowledge:> Ability to analyze complex data and provide clear and accurate conclusion to explain variances
> Solid communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal; comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating with others to achieve goals
> Detail oriented, extremely organized, ability to prioritize and manage time to achieve objectives
> Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel knowledge, including pivot tables and other database functions, Word and mainframe general ledger applications
Physical Demands> Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time
> Must be able to repetitively use telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard
> Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs.

The salary range for this position is $58,500.00 - $65,000.00 commensurate with experience and education.
Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s profit-sharing bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
