CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Kick your career in Healthcare into overdrive! Actalent is hiring multiple full-time Certified Medical Assistant's to support our client, a local leading Healthcare organization, onsite in Glen Burnie, Columbia, and Baltimore MD.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Medical Assistant completes the patient intake process, assists clinicians with daily care.
• Performs various medical tasks (vital signs) and documents information in the medical record.
• Assists the clinician with administrative tasks including faxing and phoning in prescriptions, calling for reports and records, and collecting and relaying lab information.
• Supervision is provided by clinicians, RN’s, and the clinical nursing manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Medical Assistant with at least 1 year of experience preferred.
• EMR experience is a plus.
• Requires one of the following certifications:

1. American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
2. American Medical Technologists (AMT)
3. National Health Career Association (NHA)
4. National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
5. National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
6. American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
