PAY RATE –
2nd Shift: $20.35/hr Shift Differential
SHIFTS—
- 2nd Shift: 2PM-10PM | ** Shift runs Monday-Friday**
- Reliability, Detail oriented, willingness to learn.
- Motivated individual, and upon completion of training, ability to work independently and or as a team when applicable.
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
The Packaging Associate role will be required and responsible for the following but not limited to, Assist with the making of specific boxes and packaging parts, properly packing products, ensuring prepared within quality standards and within shipment deadlines.
JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
- Performs production packaging operations as directed to support developmental and commercial business needs.
- Accurately performs work assignments and computer transactions that are required to adjust inventory.
- Performs visual inspection of all materials handled to ensure quality
- Utilizes manual and power material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to move and arrange material.
- Complies with all established regulatory and company guidelines and procedures.
- Trains on policies, protocols and procedures as needed to support ability to execute assigned duties.
- Seeks Lead and/or Supervisory assistance for clarification in the event of any uncertainties or unexpected occurrences.
- Works safely; efficiently organizes work activity maintaining workflow and ensures availability and use of proper materials and tools. Supports LEAN 6S activities as requested.
- Accurately fills out all paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
- Complies with company policies, good housekeeping, and safety regulations. Maintains a safe and clean work environment; identifies and corrects unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.
- Effectively and respectfully interacts and communicates with other operators, associates, and supervisors; relays information to the next shift when applicable; voluntarily assists others where appropriate.
- Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be able to follow instructions, read paperwork, documents, and have basic knowledge of the use of computers/ technical skills.
- Must be able to communicate amongst team members and higher-level employees.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
- Works in compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must have proof of high-school education - HS diploma or GED required.
- Able to pass criminal/financial BG and Drug Screening (No Physical Needed)
- Able to do a phone screening with HM prior placement
- Ability to wear proper PPE for extended periods of time. Minimally safety glasses, sleeve covers, and gloves.
- At times, uses of additional PPE including masks covering mouth and nose for extended periods of time are required.
- Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, and irritant chemicals; will be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, gowning, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, shields, etc..
- Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities should be expected; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (objects 50 - 100 pounds); constant manipulation of utensils for weighing of components, requires common physical characteristics and abilities, such as above-average agility and dexterity.
