Job DescriptionThis Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Quality Control Administrator, to join our team to help oversee our various design-build DOT projects in the New England region. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
  • The Quality Control Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all processes and procedures outlined in the project's Quality Management Plan are established, implemented, and maintained throughout the project duration. You will
  • Directly manage the activities of all Quality Control personnel and oversee the preparation of Quality Control Plans for major work items.
  • Conduct construction site audits of Quality Control sampling, testing, and inspection, as well as handle the preparation of construction site quality documentation and maintenance of quality control records.
  • Audit subcontractors and fabricator Quality Control programs, issue technical direction for the work of testing laboratories, as well as inspection and nondestructive examination by contractors and subcontractors. You will
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Non-Conformance control system and ensure that permanent materials delivered to the site are inspected for completeness and traceability.
  • Initiate stop-work action when conditions warrant it. You will be responsible for identifying quality problems, initiating corrective actions, recommending solutions, coordinating and taking the lead where appropriate. Furthermore, you will
  • Report to the Executive Committee on performance and areas requiring improvement and provide training and awareness of MassDOT’s technical and quality requirements throughout the Project Staff.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant quality management experience in transportation construction, design, auditing, and inspection.
  • Registered Professional Engineer. Ability to obtain comity licensure in New England states within 90
  • days, if licensed outside of region. NETTCP Certified Quality Assurance Technician (QAT).
  • Applied knowledge of the New England DOT requirements for design and construction process, along with quality management guidelines.
  • Oversee internal/external audit programs at onsite and offsite facilities in accordance with ISO 9001.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on familiarity with DOT / FHWA Guidelines.
  • Proficiency with MS WORD Suite and MS EXCEL.
  • ASQ Certification.
  • Document management system experience, such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Teams, etc.
