GLO Resources is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Geismar, LA

We are currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher to work locally within Geismar, LA.

This is a full-time, salaried position. Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening/weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Summary of Position:

The Dispatcher works closely with the operations as well as permit and engineering departments and reports to the Project Manager. The Dispatcher's primary purpose is to manage the daily activities among all projects and work with the appropriate workforce to support current and upcoming projects. The Dispatcher must understand and ensure the safe execution of the project as well as understand and monitor on-site activities to meet set goals for the project.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of dispatching or management experience working within the construction industry.
  • Review awarded projects and job site requirements to develop an execution plan.
  • Work with the billing department to verify all costs are captured.
  • Act as a single point of contact between internal departments and field personnel to execute jobs following job contract(s)
  • Monitor and control unit/employee schedules with the Project Managers and Operations Department
  • Maintain customer communication to ensure the client’s needs are being met.
  • Ensures the project has required personnel, with appropriate experience and/or training for the required tasks.
  • Responsible for the safe execution of the project as outlined per Client requirements.
  • Delegates and coordinates all onsite activities to meet pre-determined goals for the project.
  • Work with all internal systems, (FCC) for project coordination and labor updates for current and ongoing projects and loads.
  • Ensures labor/equipment are meeting expected pickup/delivery times along with pre-determined project schedules.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and ensure employees are keeping equipment in working order.
  • Manage support vendors and rent materials sent out on projects.
  • Coordinate training and planning for each job.
  • Manage employee site orientations and schedule for upcoming jobs.
  • Approve time for all employees through the company front-end system.
  • Stay in constant communication with the operations group to ensure flawless job execution.
