Duties & Responsibilities
- Test incoming raw materials, in process samples, and finished goods
- Operate laboratory analytical equipment
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Conduct Out of Specification (OOS) lab result investigations
- Record, store test data in SAP and TotalChrom
- Use good documentation practices (ALCOA) recording data and results
- Use computers in all aspects of the laboratory operation
- Communicate information to manufacturing areas and stakeholders
- Conduct general housekeeping in the Quality Control Laboratory
- Must satisfactorily complete all Lab, Safety, and other training courses as required
- This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The QC Technician is expected to perform other related business duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years college chemistry or associate degree in Chemistry or science is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years conducting chemical and physical testing in a lab. Gas and Liquid Chromatography experience is preferred.
- Basic math skills, reading comprehension, and ability to communicate with others.
- SAP and TotalChrom experience preferred
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Able to lift 45 pounds, climb stairs, and move gas cylinders short distances.
- Must be able to work a 12-hour shift with flexible hours
- Provide vacation or emergency coverage as needed
