Our client seeks a General Ledger Accountant to assist the Controller of a very stable company in all things accounting and administration. The ideal candidate will be in many accounting functions, serving as a "utility" accountant, including client billing, processing A/P, preparing bank and account reconciliations. This accountant will assist with monthly close, analysis, and financial reporting as well. Personality is key for this hire... we need someone that isn't afraid of expanding their skills, helping out where needed, and will never use the term "it's not my job"!
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience in a variety of Accounting functions. Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Billing, A/R, A/P and Cash Accounting are important
- Account reconciliations and Bank Reconciliation Experience
- Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Sage ERP
- Must be able/willing to work an 8 hour day IN OFFICE Monday through Friday
