GI Doctors is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Garden, NY

We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy gastroenterology office to become part of our team! As well as treating patients in the office setting, we also preform surgical procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies in office.

Duties will include: making pre and post op phone calls, taking patient's vital signs and inputting patient medical history into EHR, venipuncture, assisting the doctors during procedures (training available for Endotech), and general office tasks such as answering phones and making appointments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • CPR or First Aid Certification
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification (required)
  • Willingness to work well with a team and be flexible with daily tasks and assignments.
  • 2 Professional References
  • 1 year experience in gastroenterology or other medical office (preferred)
  • Spanish/ Greek speaking a plus
