Purchasing Specialist
Gap, PA
Pine Hill Manufacturing is looking for a full-time Purchasing Assistant that is expected to require approximately 40-45 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- •Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
- •Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
- •Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner and ensure they are correct.
- •Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
- •Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply
- •Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans
- •Purchase, receive and reconcile invoices
- •Work with and make suggestions to the management team to develop policy and procedures that bring efficiencies and excellence to our processes.
- •Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters
Ideal Candidate:
- •Should have prior experience in material and product procurement.
- •The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
- •Have prior experience using a computer based MRP (Material Resource Planning) system.
- •Understanding of supply chain procedures
- •Should have previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- •Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts
- •Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- •Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
